THE POSITION

DESCRIPTION OF WORK
In this role, you will be responsible for the administrative
management supporting the State Forest Operations, which includes
the Operations & Recreation Division, Minerals Division, Myra Lloyd
Dock Nursery, and the Silviculture Section. Your responsibilities
will encompass high-level oversight of fiscal operations, contract
management, personnel administration, training, procurement, and
general administrative functions within this area. Furthermore, you
will manage the administrative functions for the North Western
Forest Region, which includes Districts 4 (Forbes), 8 (Clear
Creek), 9 (Moshannon), 10 (Sproul), 12 (Tiadaghton), 13 (Elk), 14
(Cornplanter), 15 (Susquehannock), 16 (Tioga), and 20 (Loyalsock),
ensuring that all fiscal, budgetary, and procurement procedures are
effectively implemented.
You will provide guidance, training, and supervision to the
administrative staff directly reporting to you, who are engaged in
the State Forest Operations programs. The positions under your
supervision include Administrative Assistant 1 for Silviculture,
Administrative Assistant 1 for Operations, and Clerical Assistant 2
for Operations. Your leadership will be crucial in fostering a
productive work environment and ensuring that administrative tasks
are executed efficiently.
Additionally, you will analyze and review revenue streams related
to the State Forest Operations, offering strategic guidance on
revenue-generating activities. Your role will also involve
overseeing Information Technology and training initiatives across
the bureau, ensuring that all administrative functions align with
organizational goals and standards.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:Full-time employmentWork
hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute
lunch.Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home
(telework) part-time, up to 5 days per pay period. In order to
telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet
connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania.
If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report
to the headquarters office in Harrisburg.
Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY
QUALIFICATIONSMinimum Experience and Training Requirements:One year
as an Administrative Officer 1 (Commonwealth job title or
equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the
Office of Administration); orThree years of experience in
progressively responsible and varied office management or staff
work, including experience in personnel management, budgeting, or
procurement; and a bachelor's degree; orAny equivalent combination
of experience and training.
