Job Opportunity: Hitachi Storage platform admin Position: Hitachi Storage platform admin Location:RemoteType: Full-time (8 hours/day, 40 hours/week) + Emergency CallContract: 3-year contract (First 6 months probationary)Key Responsibilities:

• Onsite Support: Primarily remote work, but will require onsite presence for installs, deinstalls, and emergencies.
• Emergency Call: Be available for emergency situations that may require immediate attention.
• Action Plans: Ability to write detailed action plans for managing and troubleshooting Hitachi storage platforms.Skills & Expertise Required:
  • Hitachi Content Platform (HCP):
    • S30 Node: Experience with older models like the HCP S30, with knowledge of erasure coding, RAID protection, and indexing/search capabilities.
    • S Series Nodes: Familiarity with models such as S10, S11, and S31, including differences in processing power, memory, and drive capacity.
    • G11 Node: Understanding of cloud storage nodes, scalability (4 to 80 nodes), DAS, SAN, Amazon S3, and redundancy features.
    • Storage Management:
      • Hands-on experience with RAID protection, erasure code storage, content and metadata indexing, and search functionalities.
      • Protocols: Proficiency in Amazon S3, NFS, CIFS, REST, HTTP, HTTPS, WebDAV, SMTP, and NDMP.
      • Security: Knowledge of multitenancy, write once, read many (WORM), and encryption for secure data management.Hardware & Software Knowledge:
        • Storage: 954 HDD x 10TB with erasure code protection.
        • Networking: 8x 10GbE SFP+ or Base-T for data access; 2x 1GbE Base-T for management.
        • Servers: Two active/active servers with Skylake CPUs, 256 GB DDR4 memory, and SSD storage.
        • Redundancy: Familiarity with software-defined erasure code storage and redundant data paths to eliminate single points of failure.
