Medicaid Health Plans of America is growing! We're looking for an Office Manager who can help take our association and staff to the next level. Customer service, organizational skills and attention to detail are the top qualities we are looking for in our next staff colleague. - -The Office Manager is responsible for all administrative operations and systems assisting with a wide range of MHPA's activities in support of our organizational priorities. The position will also provide support for MHPA Board activities, human resources and staff support for our Annual Conference. DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Supports company operations by maintaining office systems and supporting 11 current staff members.
  • Maintains office services by organizing office operations and procedures, updating employee files, reviewing and approving supply requisitions, and organizing office operations.
  • Provides historical reference by defining procedures for retention, protection, retrieval, transfer, and disposal of records.
  • Maintains office efficiency by planning and implementing office systems, layouts, and equipment procurement.
  • Designs and implements office policies by establishing standards and procedures, measuring results against standards, and making necessary adjustments.
  • Keeps management informed by reviewing and analyzing special reports; summarizing information; identifying trends.
  • Maintains office staff by helping recruit, orient, and train new employees.
  • Achieves financial objectives by preparing an annual administration budget, scheduling expenditures, analyzing variances, and initiating corrective actions.
  • Other duties and tasks as assigned.KEY SKILLS:
    • Detail oriented with strong organizational and time management skills.
    • Good judgement, problem solving and decision making.
    • Strict confidentiality with employee files and all sensitive information.
    • Able to handle multiple tasks with varying deadlines.
    • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
    • Knowledge of and interest in Medicaid, healthcare delivery systems, and health equity issues.
