Effective January 2023, Freddie Mac's hybrid work arrangement is 3 days in the office (specifically Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday).Position Overview:In this role you will be part of System team under the Single-family Secondary Markets portfolio and will be expected to learn and understand the functionality of applications we support and help run the regression, integration, and end to end testing. At the same time suggest and contribute towards improving the process and increase test automation coverage.We are looking for individuals who are result oriented and can come up with creative ways to solve challenges. Testing workstream of System team provides overarching support to 3 trains under our portfolio and is responsible for release certification for the changes going to production balancing risk with agility.Our Impact:We are on the System team under Secondary Markets portfolio. There are three trains with multiple product teams.We provide Automation, E2E, SOX, Regression, Release readiness, DevOps, Environment and Production support to the product teams on these three trains.Your Impact:Analyzing business to understand the changes and come up with test scenarios.Identifying, tracking, and resolving issues.Automate manual testing scenarios and contribute to the regression suite.Recommend approaches/solutions to problems, and communicating pros & consShare ideas for process improvements opportunitiesJob Description:Provide hands-on test automation support in writing, maintaining, and improving test code with best coding practices followedProvide proactive guidance, comprehensive documentation and continual assessment of function and test automation delivery across projectsTranslate broad strategies into specific action plans, utilizing existing resources and information to achieve strategic objectives and improve business results.Lead technical transformation within the team moving from a manual testing approach to an automation approachBuild and/or build upon an automated test framework specific to the needs of the application(s)Work closely with test teams, developers, business, and vendor partners to drive and promote technical design in all our engineering processesDrive the team to become more adaptable in quality assurance through test automation, and Continuous Testing practicesHelp train, mentor, and supervise junior resources on BDD, TDD and tools and frameworks.Experience with relevant programming languages to support development of automated test casesQualifications:Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience5+ years of experience in Quality Assurance, Functional, Automation, GUI, Back-End, Data-Driven.Performance, Stress, Load, and Regression Testing of web and client-server-based applications.Demonstrated experience with Continuous Integration.Willingness to learn new DevOps technologies and keep up with the latest and greatest technology tool.Primary Mortgage Market experience is a plus.Experience with one or more of the following software lifecycle methodologies: SDLC, Agile, DevOps.Must be willing to get trained, train others as needed and take full responsibility to run other team members.Keys to Success in this Role:Strong communication and consultation skills.Intellectual agility and interpersonal flexibility.Ability to learn and pick up new technologies.Ability to work with and collaborate across multiple teams.Current Freddie Mac employees please apply through the internal career site.Today, Freddie Mac makes home possible for one in four home borrowers and is one of the largest sources of financing for multifamily housing.
