At Freddie Mac, you will do important work to build a better housing finance system and you ll be part of a team helping to make homeownership and rental housing more accessible and affordable across the nation.Employees, contingent workers and visitors are no longer required to show proof of vaccination to be on-site. Effective January 2023, Freddie Mac s hybrid work arrangement is 3 days in the office (specifically Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday).Position Overview:This role is in Governance and Business Services (GBS) and is part of 1st Line of Defense (LOD) within the Multifamily Division at Freddie Mac. GBS is responsible for identifying and measuring operational risks, analyzing and reporting on risks, and collaborating with the Three Lines of Defense and management across the company. In this role, operational risks include SOX, data privacy, fraud/money laundering, information security, business continuity, laws/regulations, performing risk assessments, and control design, implementation, and testing. GBS leads the division with compliance to the Corporate Enterprise Risk Management framework including compliance with Risk Identification and Reporting. The Risk and Control Senior will work on diverse and complex issues, where analysis of situation or data requires evaluation of a variety of factors, including an understanding of current business trends and emerging risks. The responsibilities are time sensitive and have a high-level of visibility within Multifamily and across the company.Our Impact:We provide strong operational risk management knowledge and advice to the Multifamily Business and effectively manage risk in line with the 2nd Line of Defense, policies and standards with the targeted use of innovative strategies and techniques.Your Impact:As an integral part of our high performance team, your primary categories of work include:Operational Risk ManagementSupport Divisional reporting of risk assessmentsDraft risk and control matrix and demonstrate an understanding of procedures performed to test controls.Monitor and report on risks and issues.Perform analysis over emerging risks and issues.Present reporting to Divisional Leadership quarterly.Engage Business Area, Lines of DefenseWork individually and with the business to identify, develop and implement operational efficiency and controls.Engage with 2nd and 3rd Lines of Defense, including Enterprise Risk Management and Internal AuditPresent to senior management analysis over divisional risks, controls, and projects.Develop innovative reporting and analytics related to Multifamily riskQualifications:Bachelor's degree in Business, related field, or equivalent work experience in COSO, COBIT, SOX.5-7 years related experience.Experience with models and/or model risk governanceExperience in risk and project managementAbility to evaluate and review the compliance against established policies and standardsExperience in documenting and conducting risk assessments.Strong Excel, PowerPoint, and SharePoint skills.Keys to Success in this Role:Curiosity and interest in Operational Risk Management in Multifamily.Team player with positive attitude.Strong work ethic.Ability to multi-taskCurrent Freddie Mac employees please apply through the internal career site.Today, Freddie Mac makes home possible for one in four home borrowers and is one of the largest sources of financing for multifamily housing.
