Overview: \n\n Crown’s Food Division is the number one manufacturer
of food cans in the world. Our complete array of food packaging
serves a variety of markets, including fruit, vegetables, dairy,
fish, meat, ready meals, pet food, infant milk powder and other dry
food products. We offer a wide selection of food cans from round to
bowl as well as shaped cans. We truly focus on excellence. Here is

Plant 37 is located in Hanover, PA. The Plant manufactures 2-piece
and 3-piece steel cans for the food industry. There are
approximately 95 employees at the Hanover location. The Hanover
Plant is located on Route 194 in York County and is in close
proximity to York, PA, Gettysburg, PA and the Maryland border. \n\n
Position overview: \n\n The Forklift Operator moves unfinished and
finished goods, loads and unloads trucks and stages product. This
position supports operations and shipping and receiving work areas
based on business needs. This position is scheduled 5pm-5am on a
yearly rotational schedule. The hourly rate of pay is $22.24 with
an additional $2 shift differential. \n\n \n\n Duties And
Responsibilities: \n\n Reporting directly to the Manufacturing
Supervisor, the Forklift Operator responsibilities would include,
but not be limited to, the following: \n\n \n\t Ensure safe
operating practices; \n\t Complete forklift operator training
annually, provided by Company; \n\t Perform routine pre and post
inspections on forklift equipment to ensure forklift equipment is
operating well; \n\t Move controls, levers, and devices to drive
industrial forklifts to transport materials; between loading,
unloading, processing and storage areas; \n\t Visually perform
quality checks as required on incoming materials, trailers, and
outgoing finished goods, etc.; \n\t Organize and secure materials
where loads of materials and pallets are stored; \n\t Able to read
and understand pallet tickets and date codes and production
schedules; \n\t Manually load or unload materials onto or off
pallets, skids, platforms, or lifting devices; \n\t Wraps loads as
needed; \n\t Pick orders and/or unload trailers to meet shipping
and receiving schedules; \n\t Operate computer to navigate
inventory systems; \n\t Performs other job-related duties as
required or assigned \n \n\n \n\n JOB REQUIREMENTS \n\n Minimum
Requirements \n\n \n\t 1 years forklift operation experience in
manufacturing or warehouse environment \n\t Must be qualified as to
visual, auditory, physical, and mental ability to operate the
equipment safely \n\t Able to work alternate work schedules
including overtime, voluntary and mandatory, based on business
needs \n\t Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work well
with other team members and external contacts \n\t Strong attention
to detail and ability to establish and maintain a high level of
organization and quality. \n \n\n Preferred Requirements \n\n \n\t
HS diploma or equivalent preferred \n\t Knowledge of all OSHA
related training in a manufacturing environment. \n\t 6S Training
\n\t Understands equipment needs and modifications. \n\t
Familiarization with quality standards and line processes. \n \n\n
Physical Requirements \n\n \n\t While performing the duties of this
job, the employee is regularly required to sit, stand, walk, use
hands, reach with hands and arms, and may be required to balance,
stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl \n\t The employee must regularly
lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to
25 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds \n\t
Ability to sit and/or stand for 8-12 hour shifts \n \n\n Working
Conditions \n\n \n\t Generally, works in a plant environment, some
responsibilities may be performed in office setting \n\t While
performing the duties of this job, the employee will be exposed to
light lifting, warehouse forklift traffic \n\t Production noise
