My client is a well-established mission-based organization headquartered in the Washington, D.C. area with a need for a Payroll Manager. The Payroll Manager will supervise the Payroll Department, supervising payroll staff and managing the entire payroll process for the organization. The Payroll Manager will report to the VP of Finance and Accounting and will oversee employee payroll, taxes, GL postings, process improvements, and work with Human Resources and Accounting to prepare reports and ensuring accuracy and compliance with local and federal laws. The Payroll Manager must have supervising experience and experience with ADP Workforce Now is preferred. Payroll professionals with their CPP are highly encouraged to apply. The Payroll Manager will be responsible for the following:

• 
  Supervisor and manage the Payroll Department, oversee Payroll Associates
  
  
• 
  Oversee taxes, ensuring ADP reports are accurate
  
  
• 
  Lead the Strategic oversight for selecting and evaluating 3rd party timekeeping systems
  
  
• 
  Manage the updating and employee change status for benefits, 401k, and other deductions
  
  
  -Review and post payroll journal entries, prepare manual entries as needed
  -Calculate manual net/gross and tax withholdings
  -Performance reviews of staff and training
  -Process wage garnishments and tax liens
  -Reconcile and balance payroll account and prep for Audits

  Requirements
  Requirements:
  5+ year of supervisor/management experience in payroll
  ADP Workforce Now or Workday experience is plus
  Strong background in payroll taxes and accounting
  System Implementation experience
  Proficient in MS Excel
  CPP is highly preferred
