General Summary:The Controller has primary responsibility for Futron's financial records and reports.Authority/Clearance:Approves expenditures related to the Controller's responsibilities up to $2,500.00.Principles, Duties, and Responsibilities:Must be able to organize, plan, and prioritize work.Maintains the financial records and reports.Overseeing and supervision of payroll and distribution of payroll direct deposits through upload to bank.Balance bank accounts.Balance the General Ledger each month account by account.Overseeing Federal WH and State WH tax returns and payments to the various Federal and State agencies and recording entries to the GL.Administer, oversee, and supervise 401k contribution, distributions, and reports to the Funds Administration.Administer, oversee, and supervise Health Savings Account contributions, distributions, and uploads to the HSA administration.End of the month closing of all modules within the project accounting system.Responsible to provide data and reports for DCAA and DCMA audits and the company's external auditors.Support of auxiliary accounting staff.Support of the annual financial review and other audits.Review of financial statements and making recommendations.Preparation of additional reports as needed.Updating and revising GL accounts as needed.Prepare budgets and review the data with top management and make recommendations.Support Work in Process (WIP)Sales tax.Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required:BS degree with a major in accounting.Good knowledge of GAAP.Strong oral and written communication skills.Strong knowledge of payroll tax compliance with various agencies.Accuracy and attention to details are also required characteristics.FlexibleKnowledge of ISO 9001:2015Ability to work well within a team.Familiarity with Acumatica timekeeping system is preferred.The physical demands and work environment that have been described are representative ofthose an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this position.Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform theessential functions in accordance with the Americans with Disabilities Act.The above job description is an overview of the functions and requirements for this position.
