Job Description
The U.S. Bancorp Impact Finance group, a subsidiary of U.S.
Bancorp, is seeking a talented Business Process Engineer who will
contribute toward the success of our technology initiatives in our
digital transformation journey. Be a part of transformational

This position will be pivotal in our digital transformation journey
to deliver best-in-class user experiences by analyzing current
processes, designing, and implementing new business and system
workflows that address specific business problems, enhance
efficiency, reduce costs, and increase overall productivity. The
candidate will work closely with cross-functional teams, including
software developers, product managers, and business stakeholders,
to ensure the successful delivery of our financial tax credit
solutions in the digital landscape.
Essential Responsibilities
Defines, develops, documents, and measures business processes
and/or tools to ensure the highest efficiency and quality while
reducing support costs.
Develop process maps, flowcharts, and other visual representations
to communicate process improvement ideas in a digital environment
effectively.
Document existing and future state processes using
industry-standard tools and techniques while considering the impact
of digital transformation initiatives.
Facilitate process workshops and training sessions for team members
and stakeholders, focusing on digital solutions and
technologies.
Monitor and measure the effectiveness of implemented process
improvements using data-driven methodologies in the context of
digital transformation.
Participate in Agile development activities, including backlog
grooming, sprint planning, and retrospectives, focusing on digital
solutions.
Facilitates the application of new workflow technologies to
existing business processes
Assess business or process requirements, complete research and
analysis to determine viable solutions, and recommend alternatives
and enhancements.
Provides technical expertise on available technologies and
processes to improve quality, customer satisfaction, and cost
performance.
Uses appropriate tools to perform problem determination and root
cause analysis; illustrates bottlenecks, redundancies,
vulnerabilities, and opportunities for enhanced efficiency or
effectiveness.
Identifies strengths and weaknesses of existing internal processes,
methods, and tools
Presents findings and recommendations to business process owners
and project teams
Reduces the mean time to repair for incidents.
Frequently interfaces with business lines, including management,
and/or internal resources.
Coordinates activities with other impacted areas and functions.
Analyzes, documents, and disseminates process changes and
productivity gains.
Participates in pre-implementation of enterprise projects to
determine the level of involvement and risk to assigned
organization.
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
At least 5 years experience within a total information technology
(IT) environment.
At least 3 years experience with tools and techniques for planning,
organizing, monitoring and controlling IT projects.
Preferred Skills/Experience
Proven business assessment, process engineering, improvement, and
modeling experience
Strong understanding of process improvement methodologies, such as
Lean, Six Sigma, or Business Process Management (BPM)
Experience with Intelligent Process Automation tools, that combine
Robotic Process Automation (RPA), Artificial Intelligence (AI), and
other technologies to create adaptive automated solutions.
Proficient in process mapping and documentation tools, such as
Visio or Lucidchart
Proficient in project management tools, such as Jira, Microsoft
Project, GitLab, Azure DevOps
Experience in financial services or tax credit investment industry
is highly preferred
Proven experience in leading cross-functional teams to design,
implement and improve business processes and systems
Adept at facilitating workshops and training sessions for diverse
audiences
Strong analytical, quantitative analysis, and problem-solving
skills, with a data-driven approach to decision-making
Self-motivated and able to work independently with minimal
supervision
Excellent communication skills, including the ability to
effectively communicate with technical and non-technical
stakeholders at all levels of the organization
A continuous improvement mindset with the ability to identify
opportunities for improvement and implement changes to drive
efficiency and effectiveness

The salary range reflects figures based on the primary location,
which is listed first. The actual range for the role may differ
based on the location of the role. In addition to salary, US Bank
offers a comprehensive benefits package, including incentive and
recognition programs, equity stock purchase 401k contribution and
pension (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). Pay
Range: $81,345.00 - $95,700.00 - $105,270.00
