Fuels Staff Accountant The Wills Group, 102 Centennial St, La Plata, Maryland, United States of America Req #389 Monday, February 20, 2023 Job Purpose and Function The Fuels Staff Accountant will provide integral support to the Accounting Department as a key member of the Fuels Accounting Team. This role will be responsible for ensuring the quality and timeliness of data that supports Financial Statement preparation and Balance Sheet integrity. How You'll Make an Impact Assist the Fuels Marketing Accounting Manager in the verification of accuracy in monthly operation statement preparation for SMOReconcile, review, and verify accuracy of monthly balance sheet accounts relating to wholesale accounts as defined by the Fuels Marketing Accounting ManagerPerform general ledger account reconciliations including cash, accounts receivable, accounts payable, fuel inventories, and others as neededReconcile fuel bills of lading with supplier, terminal, and product informationProduce dealer customer invoices that reconcile to fuel manifests and verify charges are appropriately captured and classifiedCollaborate with Fuels Marketing Accounting Manager on Fuels Accounting process improvements What We're Looking For Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field, a minimum of 3 years of general ledger and additional accounting experience will be considered in the absence of an undergraduate degree.
