workplace.What Youll Be Doing:The Business Unit Controller for
Specialty Services is a transformational leader, who has experience
in and can lead a large and complex public company controllership
function. This role is primarily responsible for the oversight of
the Companys Specialty Services business unit, including but not
limited to, SEC/Internal reporting requirements, SOX compliance,
monitoring financial operations on an ongoing basis. This role
requires a deep and broad U.S. GAAP knowledge base, including deep
understanding of the Healthcare industry.This role will also be
responsible for the developing the newly established Specialty
Services team, as well as continuous improvement in the monthly
close process, SEC/Internal reporting processes, the SOX compliance
program, leading various strategic business unit projects and will
work closely with the Chief Accounting Officer and business unit
CFO in providing updates for the executive team.Responsibilities:
- Oversee and own the entire financial operations of the
Specialty Services business unit
- Oversee appropriate accounting for Specialty Services business
unit, including oversight of the monthly close process; prepare
and/or review journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations,
inter-company eliminations and other analysis in support of the
Company's close process, including SEC filings
- Oversee the research, evaluation and documentation of technical
accounting implications and positions in accordance with U.S. GAAP
and SEC regulations regarding complex or nonstandard transactions
and provide consultation support within the organization regarding
same, as needed
- Act as a liaison and manage interactions with the Company's
internal and external auditors in support of their required
procedures
- Own and direct effective and efficient processes in support of
required internal controls over financial reporting (SOX)
- Identify and implement continuous improvements to process,
controls and systems in support of financial reporting and the
broader finance organization
- Collaborate with other stakeholders in the Company to partner
and execute on other finance related projects and initiatives as
needed
- Prepare and present various accounting and reporting topics to
senior management, as well as to the Disclosure Committee
- Manage, mentor and train resources, including performance
evaluations and development plans for business continuity and
growthThe Experience We Prefer:
- Bachelors or Masters degree in Accounting/Finance
- Active CPA License
- 10+ years of experience in accounting focused roles
- Experience working as a Controller or in a similar capacity in
previous roles
- Strong knowledge of US GAAP and Healthcare Industry
- Experience with an ERP system (Workday is a plus)
- Experience in Healthcare industry
- Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills and
the ability to research, synthesize information, formulate
conclusions, and document them in a thorough, yet concise
manner.
- Excellent time management, planning and organizational
skills
- Ability to work with competing priorities under tight
deadline
- Previous supervisory experienceTechnical
Requirements:Currently, Evolent employees work remotely temporarily
due to COVID-19. As such, we require that all employees have the
following technical capability at their home: High speed internet
over 10 Mbps and, specifically for all call center employees, the
ability to plug in directly to the home internet router. These
at-home technical requirements are subject to change with any
scheduled re-opening of our office locations.Evolent Health is

status.Compensation Range: The minimum salary for this position is
$200,000, plus benefits. Salaries are determined by the skill set
required for the position and commensurate with experience and may
