Thursday).Position Overview:Freddie Mac's Enterprise Risk
Management Division (ERM) is currently seeking a Model Validation
Senior to join its Enterprise Model Risk Department (EMR). EMR is
responsible for model governance and model risk oversight,
including the validation and review of models across their
lifecycles. The objective of the role is to conduct and document
model validation and related activities in accordance with internal
standards and protocols. Key elements of the role include providing
effective challenge and enhancing consistent model review

primarily responsible for the validation of high impact credit and
market risk models.Your Impact:Conduct technical peer reviews and
validation of models, including writing a detailed report.Prepare
validation documentation in compliance with applicable policy,
standards and proceduresWork collaboratively with stakeholders to
ensure timely delivery of model review projectsAdopt and implement
industry best practices (both technical and governance related) in
terms of managing and mitigating model risksDevelop a solid
understanding of Model Risk Regulatory Guidance, Polices and
Standards, and Model Governance ProcessesSupport the remediation of
findings issued by internal and external oversight groupsContribute
to the maintenance and update of model validation protocolsWork
collaboratively with partners to ensure effective management of
model risk enterprise wide.Work collaboratively with model
validators to ensure timely delivery of model review
projectsQualifications:PhD in quantitative finance, statistics or a
related quantitative field or Master's degree with 3 years of
equivalent work experience.Coursework or work experience applying
predictive modeling techniques from finance, statistics,
mathematics, data science, and computer programming to large data
sets. Qualifying coursework may include-but is not limited
to-statistics, mathematical programming, optimization, machine
learning, computational methods, design and analysis of algorithms,
Bayesian methods, derivatives, and Monte Carlo
methods/modeling.Coursework or work experience writing statistical
and/or optimization programs to develop models and
algorithms.Programming experience with proficiency in one or more:
Python, R, SAS, MATLAB or related languages.Experience with
mortgage industry (preferred)Keys to Success in this Role:Strong
