ResponsibilitiesGuidehouse is seeking a Senior Budget Analyst to join our team supporting Planning, Programming, Budgeting and Execution (PPBE) activities for a Component within the Department of Homeland Security (DHS). This individual will perform budget-related tasks, support executive leadership in decision making, and help to identify opportunities for process improvement.Responsibilities will include: Monitor budget execution actions, prepare metrics, identify trends, and make recommendations to resolve budget challenges. Support all phases of the budget lifecycle, including formulation of budget requests, development of presentation materials, and responses for various data calls and Congressional requests. Prepare, input, and validate data required by various systems, including OneStream and OMB MAX. Develop standard operating procedures, tasks, standards and requirements, methodologies for long-term cost estimates and cost-benefit analyses for programs. Apply knowledge of budget-related laws, regulations, policies, guidance, and methodologies.Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, team members are temporarily telecommuting full time. QualificationsRequired: Due to our contractual requirements, to be eligible for this role, you must be fully COVID-19 vaccinated at time of hire.

  • United States Citizenship and the ability to obtain a Public Trust clearance
  • A minimum of seven (7) years of relevant work experience related to the federal government Planning, Programming, Budgeting, and Execution (PPBE) process
  • Bachelors Degree
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and OutlookPreferred:
    • Ten (10) or more years of relevant work experience related to the federal government Planning, Programming, Budgeting, and Execution (PPBE) process
    • Masters Degree (MA/MS/MBA)
