Role

Tempus is seeking an operations Supervisor to join the Banking Operations team. Serving as the backbone to Tempus, the Banking Operations department is responsible for the execution and oversight of the most fundamental aspect of the Tempus business: payments. This role will be expected to learn the business from the inside out including systems, processes, and people. While being a part of the day-to-day tactical processing, the operations supervisor will additionally provide oversight to the larger banking operations team ensuring processes, policies, and SLAs are adhered to. As Tempus looks to grow exponentially, we are looking for leaders to help expand the team and bring Tempus to the next level,

Responsibilities:

  • Monitor intraday bank activity using online banking and bank statements
  • Troubleshoot and investigate payment issues with Tempus banking partners
  • Post and process wires, checks, and ACH credit and debit payments
  • Coordinate with internal departments on exception/problem payments and SLA adherence
  • Ensure the team maintains accurate and audit-ready reconciliations, documentation, and operating procedures.
  • Ensure a consistent focus on continuous improvements. Identify areas of risk, gaps in processes, quality control and offer sound suggestions.
  • Report KPIs and other dashboard metrics to the Operations Director

    Requirements:
    • Four-year college degree preferable related to Finance, Accounting, or Operations Management
    • 5 years' experience in a supervisor/management role in financial services
    • Works well in a team environment; Ability to work independently and motivate others
    • Extremely detail oriented, Ability to multi-task
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills
    • Professional demeanor and attitude

      Preferred:
      • Work experience in payment/transaction processing is highly preferred
