ANSIBLE ENGINEER
CMIT is seeking an Ansible Engineer to help support our JSP ETM-NG
(Joint Service Provider Enterprise Transport Management - Next Gen)
team at the Pentagon. Due to the nature of this role, the employee
must report full-time onsite in in Arlington, VA.
As an Ansible Engineer, you will be part of a team supporting the
operations of the unclassified and classified networks. In this
role, you will be part of a modernization effort to leverage
Ansible to modernize the networking environment using IBM
AIOps.
Responsibilities
Automating the maintenance of a wide range of network
infrastructure
Collaboratively work to design an automation framework to automate
network management services
Work effectively with other teams to expand the role and capability
of automation in network management
Implement automations that will replace time consuming,
error-prone, manual repetitive configuration and provisioning
activities
Help create and manage continuous integration systems
Education/Certification Required
Qualifications Required
Solid understanding of networking principles and the desire to
expand the scope of automation into firewalls, switches, routers,
etc.
Demonstrated experience with Ansible playbooks for automating
routine network changes, configuration management, patching, and
network management
Experience with Linux/Unix variants, especially RedHat/RHEL and its
derivatives
Scripting experience in Python and other languages (e.g., bash, R,
Perl, Ruby)
Experience with Git/GitHub in a team DevOps environment
Experienced in creation and modification of Ansible playbooks and
roles.
Experienced in configuring and working with job templates,
inventories, workflows and other Ansible Tower
