Job Description:

Neustar, Inc. seeks a Senior QA Engineer II in Sterling, VA

Duties: Will define, develop, and implement quality assurance practices and

procedures, test plans and other QA assessments. Will define scope and

objectives at all levels of QA testing. Will establish standards and best

practices for the QA function. Will create manuals and automated test plans

using multiple tool sets. Will work with the development organization to

expand product certification and test automation processes. Will develop

automated tests based on written test cases. Will design and implement

automated test cases with QA test tools. Will manage QA testing plans by

tracking key QA milestones and deliverables. Will collaborate with the

Product Management and Development staff to derive test design and

specifications. Will prepare detailed test reports.

Education and Experience:

Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science or related field (willing to

accept foreign education equivalent) as well as five (5) years of experience

in job offered or five (5) years of experience in quality assurance

engineering for DNS applications, OR, alternatively, a Master of Science

degree and one (1) year of experience as noted above.

Special Requirements

*Demonstrated expertise applying DNS & BIND domain knowledge to perform QA

testing;

*Demonstrated expertise using SOAP UI to test XML & SOAP-based APIs;

*Demonstrated expertise using Selenium to test front-end applications and

performing automation testing to test Unix, Shell Scripting, and Python

applications;

*Demonstrated expertise developing unit tests for applications developed in

Java, C++, Oracle RDBMS, and OBIEE; and

*Demonstrated expertise developing extensive test plans & test scripts and

testing applications in complex computing environments.

Expertise may be gained during graduate degree program.
